Merlin’s Old Oak Woodcrafts is run by welshman Jack Morris who is a wood carver and sculpture,

Merlin’s Old Oak Woodcrafts began in 1979 in the delightful village of Abergwili, just outside the county town of Carmarthen in the heart of West Wales where the River Towy and Gwili join.

Only the best woods are chosen from locally grown materials such as Oak, Ash, Lime and a variety of fruit woods. The type of wood is chosen specifically for their qualities and suitability to individual pieces of work

Over the years, the quality and appeal of Jack’s work has been proven by accomplishing three outright wins in the prestigious Royal Welsh show for fine art, including Champion of Champions twice, one first and one runner up.

Jack has expanded his style of work to chain-saw sculpturing and takes pleasure in visiting various locations to commission work on communal garden products involving schools and village developments. He also welcome private Commission work.
